I recognise that equity release is appropriate advice for many clients but firmly believe it’s a specialised area that I simply do not want to be involved with myself. As a result, I have been delighted to have access to the Gateway SAS team for this area of advice and have been very pleased with the way my clients have been handled.

The clients were desperate for the maximum cash available in their scheme and completing it as quickly as possible was a priority for them. Because of historical changes in their scheme, it really wasn’t straightforward, but having discussed it with the Gateway SAS Team, they were able to unscramble it all and following a recalculation completed by them, my client ended up with £30,000 more cash than they had expected. My client couldn’t praise enough the work done by the Gateway Team and recognised the “extra mile” they had gone to in order to deliver an excellent result.
For me, this kind of experience gives me the confidence I need when I introduce my clients to ‘the specialists’. There are occasions when cases reach some blockages either with Pension administrators, Trustees or Providers; that’s inevitable! The difference now is that I’m kept informed via the on-line tracker or in unusual circumstances like in this particular case, the Gateway Team give me a call to keep me informed. It feels like they want to work with me to provide a great service.
